See where your competitors sponsor
Add your competitors, see their full sponsor history, and let Radar research the ones it knows little about.
Your competitors have probably already tested which newsletters work for your kind of customer. The Competitors page shows you their results: every newsletter they sponsored, and the ones they keep coming back to.
Set up your competitor list
- Open Competitors in the menu.
- Look at the companies Radar suggested from your business profile. These are direct competitors and similar companies.
- Add any competitor Radar missed, and remove any that are not really competitors.
- Open a competitor to see every newsletter it sponsored, how many times, and when.
How to use what you find
- Newsletters several competitors use are usually the safest bets for you too.
- Newsletters a competitor returns to again and again are probably working for them.
- Newsletters a competitor tried once and never again may not be worth it. Look closer before you spend.
When Radar has little data on a competitor
Some companies sponsor quietly, or only started recently. When Radar has little or no data on a competitor you saved, it runs a web research check: it searches the web for sponsorships it has not recorded yet.
- Free preview: Radar researches up to 2 competitors.
- Radar Lab Pro: Radar researches up to 5 competitors.
- Research results are clearly marked as research, separate from sponsorships Radar saw in a newsletter issue itself.
Common questions
- Why is a competitor showing no sponsorships?
- Either they do not sponsor newsletters, or Radar has not seen it yet. Web research helps fill that gap.
- How do I hear about a competitor's new sponsorships?
- Track them (Pro). You will see new sponsorships on Tracking, in the Weekly Radar Brief, and in competitor alerts if you turn them on.
